Construction details that separate premium from basic
Buyers often focus on print quality and ignore the construction signals that drive returns and reorder rates. We obsess over: double-needle topstitch at the hood seam (prevents fray after wash), ribbed cuff and hem in 1×1 or 2×2 rib matched to the body fabric (prevents stretching out), flat-lock seams at the side panels and sleeves (eliminates chafing for athleisure positioning), bar-tack reinforcement at the kangaroo pocket corners (the #1 stress point that splits open after 6 months of use), and brass / antiqued metal eyelets instead of plastic for the drawcord holes.
Decoration on hoodies is its own discipline — fleece is heavier, has more pile, and behaves differently than tee knit under a screen-print squeegee or embroidery needle. 3D puff embroidery (the raised chest-logo style popularised by streetwear brands) costs more per piece than flat embroidery but is what overseas buyers expect from a "premium" hoodie. Export logistics for hoodies — what makes them different
Hoodies are heavy — a 380 GSM heavyweight hoodie weighs roughly 700–900 g packed. That changes your shipping math vs. tees. We optimise carton dimensions for maximum container fill (FCL ships hoodies at lower per-piece freight than LCL once you cross ~1,500 pieces). For US-bound orders, we route through Mundra → Long Beach or Nhava Sheva → New York; for EU through Mundra → Felixstowe / Hamburg; for AUS through Mundra → Sydney. Air freight via Delhi (DEL) is reserved for urgent restocks given the weight penalty.

Do you supply hoodies wholesale to distributors and retailers?
Yes — the wholesale trade is a large part of our hoodie volume, which is what a Ludhiana fleece unit is built for. Wholesalers, distributors and multi-brand retailers buy on per-piece rates by quantity slab, packed to a standard size ratio (commonly S:M:L:XL at 1:2:2:1) with assorted colours within a style, plain or under your own label. Full GST invoicing and transport booked from Ludhiana. Winter is a booked season, so confirm February–March for the October–January retail window.
What GSM hoodies do you manufacture? What's the difference between 280 and 450 GSM?
We manufacture 280, 320, 380, and 450 GSM brushed-back fleece hoodies. 280 GSM is lightweight (transitional wear, athleisure positioning). 320 GSM is the standard mid-market hoodie weight. 380 GSM is premium / mid-streetwear — most D2C brands choose this. 450 GSM is super-heavyweight, the Supreme-style construction — uses ~50% more cotton, ships heavier, but commands a premium price point at retail.
Can you manufacture oversized and drop-shoulder hoodies in the streetwear silhouette?
Yes — drop-shoulder, boxy oversized, and cropped silhouettes are core to our hoodie production. We work from your tech pack measurements, or benchmark to a reference brand you provide. For drop-shoulder, the critical spec is the across-shoulder dimension (which intentionally extends past the natural shoulder point) and the armhole drop — get these wrong and the hoodie looks ill-fitting. We send a fit sample first.
Do you offer 3D puff embroidery for chest logos?
Yes, in-house. 3D puff embroidery uses a foam underlay that raises the stitch above the fabric surface — the signature streetwear chest-logo look. Cost is roughly 1.5–2× flat embroidery per piece. We send a stitch-out (test embroidery) for approval before bulk. Works best on solid-colour fleece; on heavily textured fleece the puff effect is less pronounced.
What's the minimum order quantity for custom hoodies?
300 pieces per design / colour combination for export orders; 500 pieces for domestic. Most large Indian hoodie manufacturers require 1,000+ MOQ. Our lower entry MOQ keeps a first drop accessible, while repeat programmes at 1,000–5,000 pieces per design unlock our best pricing and priority scheduling.
How long does bulk hoodie production take?
30–40 days from PP-sample approval and PO for 500–5,000 unit runs. Slightly longer than tees because of the heavier construction and decoration complexity. Add 18–25 days ocean transit to US/EU/UAE ports, or 5–7 days air freight (air is rarely cost-effective for heavy hoodies — sea is recommended).
Can you match the weight and feel of a reference brand hoodie?
Yes. Send us a reference hoodie (or detailed photos + brand name) — we'll match GSM, fibre composition, brushed-fleece quality, rib structure, drawcord, eyelet hardware, and labelling. We give you an honest answer if a reference spec is out of reach at your target price, and propose the closest achievable match.
Do you offer pigment dye or garment wash on hoodies?
Yes. Pigment dye gives the soft, vintage / sun-faded look popular in premium streetwear. Garment wash (stone, acid, enzyme) modifies hand-feel and adds wash effects. Both are done after construction, so allow 5–7 extra days in the production timeline. We send wash samples for approval before bulk.
